MBA Webster offers unique opportunities for communication with professors and fellow students from around the world. Program description: The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offers business training for students interested in understanding the business nature of a business in a competitive environment. Courses in the MBA program integrate information and theories from various disciplines, including accounting, economics, finance, marketing, manufacturing operations and strategic management. The goal of this program is to turn students into educated business decision-makers who understand the nature of the business as a whole, using tools and methods applicable to a wide range of business situations. The cornerstone for the MBA program gives students the opportunity to put together all theories, skills and tools learned during the program and integrate them into academic experience that emphasizes the nature of the competition and the type of strategic maneuvering that must be completed in order to succeed. The degree requires the satisfactory completion of 9 core courses (27 credit hours) of the MBA curriculum and 3 graduate electives (9 credit hours) for a total of 36 credit hours. If an accent area is selected, the total number of hours may be longer. Students who require compulsory courses may need more credit hours to earn an MBA. Optional MBA items can be selected from any Walker School of Business graduate offer or with the permission of one of four other schools or colleges.
