Field research MATH is carried out at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Lodz. It is intended for all mathematically talented students who are interested in using mathematics in their future professional activities, both in the field of education, and in the field of finance, banking and industry. The idea of a degree in mathematics is to provide students with knowledge and skills related to the main branches of modern mathematics. These studies provide education at the academic level with high potential for practical use.
In addition to the solid foundations of logic and set theory, algebra, geometry, topology and mathematical analysis, the student acquires specific skills in the chosen specialty. The goal of the 1st level MATHEMATICAL education is:
- training specialists with in-depth knowledge and skills in the basic areas of mathematics;
- transfer of knowledge and skills in the field of information technology necessary for functioning in modern society and allowing the use of information technology in solving mathematical problems;
- the development of graduates' analytical and synthetic thinking skills that allow for a non-standard approach to solving various practical problems that require the creation or adaptation of a mathematical model;
- language skills training at B2 level in the field of modern foreign language;
- preparation of graduates for independent development of professional skills and for training in the second cycle and in graduate school in various fields;
