О программе
The course assumptions and curriculum were based on more than half a century of scientific experience from departments, factories, and related laboratories at the Institute of Earth Sciences of the University of Gdansk. In the process of training, students acquire knowledge and skills in the field of modern methods for measuring the phenomena and processes that occur in the atmosphere of the hydrolytosphere and intermediate spheres. They learn the rules for collecting, archiving, validating and processing data from GEOMONITORING. They study in detail the properties and processes occurring in these areas, and the methodology of sciences, the subject of which are these areas.
As part of the training program, much attention is paid to the natural and technical nature of the classes. It often happened that naturalists and environmental engineers differently described the same processes and phenomena. Many years of experience in this field now allows students to provide consistent knowledge in this field, trusting theorists and practitioners. The competitiveness of the course is also due to the fact that it is creating the first school in the country, which is comprehensively preparing to work in services related to environmental monitoring and control, based on a wide range of instrumental classes and contacts with practitioners.
To improve the quality of analysis and the effectiveness of environmental forecasts, more accurate and complete information about phenomena and processes occurring in the environment, both quantitatively and qualitatively, is needed. As a result, the number of institutions involved in providing high-quality, professionally processed information on the state and dynamics of the environment is growing. In addition, legislative provisions are increasingly requiring investors to evaluate the impact of their activities on the environment, which creates new jobs in the consulting market.
