Mining engineers are responsible for the planning, design and development of a mine to extract natural resources. They participate in each stage of the mining cycle, including in the search for new deposits and in deciding whether they are economically feasible, as well as in the design and construction of mines, managing mineral extraction, and ensuring safe and environmentally friendly work. Program curriculum The program consists of core courses such as mathematics, basic engineering, an introduction to mining and geology, which will be taught in the first two years. The last two years mainly cover mining courses with a focus on laboratory work, field trips, and automated software design equipment to equip students with adaptation to the needs of industry.
